Write the Vision: Building Monarch with Purpose and Calling

Write the vision and make it plain.

“Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it.” — Habakkuk 2:2 (KJV)

There are seasons in life when the vision is placed on your heart long before you fully understand how it will unfold.

For me, Monarch Educational Services was never just a business idea. It was a calling.

A quiet, persistent calling that began years ago in classrooms, in conversations with students, in moments where I saw children struggle to find themselves in the books they were given. It grew as I worked with students with disabilities, families seeking safe and meaningful literature, and future educators learning how to reach every child.

I didn’t have the full blueprint then. But I had the beginning of a vision.

And now, I am in a season of writing it plainly.

From Calling to Clarity

There is a difference between having a vision and being able to articulate it with clarity, structure, and strategy.

For a long time, Monarch lived in my heart as:

  • A place for clean, trusted stories
  • A space where families could feel safe
  • A platform for authors who shared those values
  • A bridge for learners, especially those with diverse needs

But recently, through my business coursework and my work with LaunchJOCO, something has shifted.

I have been challenged to do what Habakkuk 2:2 calls us to do:

Write the vision.Make it plain. So others can run with it.

Not just feel it. Not just believe it.

But build it.

The Power of a Business Mentor

One of the greatest gifts in this season has been the guidance of a business mentor through LaunchJOCO.

There is something refining—and honestly, humbling—about having someone sit across from you and ask:

  • What problem are you solving?
  • Who are you truly serving?
  • What makes Monarch different… really different?
  • How does this become sustainable?

These are not easy questions.

But they are necessary ones.

Because vision without structure stays a dream.

And calling without strategy struggles to grow.

Through this mentorship, I am learning how to:

  • Clarify Monarch’s three core pillars
  • Define our customer segments with precision
  • Build revenue streams that sustain the mission
  • Communicate our value in a way the world can understand

It is not about changing the heart of Monarch.

It is about strengthening it so it can stand.

Monarch: More Than a Publishing Company

Monarch Educational Services is becoming something more defined, more focused, and more powerful.

We are not just publishing books.

We are building a trusted ecosystem for families, educators, and readers.

An ecosystem that includes:

  • Clean, value-based literature across all ages
  • Curriculum that supports literacy and deep thinking
  • Resources for educators working with diverse learners
  • Support for families who want safe, meaningful content

At its core, Monarch exists for the reader who needs both truth and trust.

And that matters now more than ever.

A Legacy Rooted in Service

When I look back, I can see how every part of my journey has led here.

My work in special education.
My love for literacy.
My heart for families.
My passion for teaching future educators.

Even the challenges. Especially the challenges.

God was writing the vision long before I ever put it into words.

And now, I feel a deep responsibility to build something that lasts.

Not just a business.

A legacy where:

  • Families feel confident in what they place in their children’s hands
  • Students with disabilities are seen, supported, and empowered
  • Authors have a home that aligns with their values
  • Educators have tools that truly make a difference

Writing It Plain So Others Can Run

This season is about clarity.

It is about putting structure around purpose.

It is about saying, with confidence:

This is who we are. This is who we serve. This is why it matters.

Because when the vision is clear, others can join it.

They can support it.
They can believe in it.
They can run with it.

And that is how something small becomes something impactful.

Where We Are Going

Monarch is still growing. Still refining. Still becoming.

But for the first time, I can see the path more clearly.

And I am not walking it alone.

With mentorship, with faith, and with a renewed commitment to excellence, we are building something intentional, sustainable, and deeply rooted in purpose.

Final Reflection

If you are in a season where you feel a vision stirring in your heart, I want to encourage you:

Do not rush past it.

Sit with it.
Pray over it.
Seek wise counsel.
And when the time comes—

Write it down.Make it plain.

Because there is someone else waiting to run with what God has placed inside of you.
