Dear Monarch Families, Educators, and Friends,
There is something sacred about placing a book into someone’s hands.
As a momma, a retired public educator, a former homeschool parent (with kids in college now), a college professor, and now a publisher, I never take lightly the responsibility of offering our books to you. When a family wants clean fiction on their home bookshelf, when a caregiver chooses a story for a child, when a teacher adds a novel to a classroom shelf, or when a librarian approves a new title for a collection, there is trust involved. Real trust.
At Monarch Educational Services, we built this publishing house around one simple promise: every Monarch book is safe for your shelf.
We believe stories can be powerful without being explicit. They can be compelling without being crude. They can inspire courage, imagination, and integrity without compromising values.
Because of that conviction, we created our Monarch Safe Shelf Standards. These standards guide every manuscript we review, every story we edit, and every book we release into the world. Our titles are vetted to our clean reads standards, professionally edited and designed with care, and thoughtfully created for families who want reading without worry.
If you would like a clear, printable overview of what we stand for, I invite you to download our one-page Safe Shelf Standards here:
Whether you are building a home library, selecting books for your classroom, or curating a collection for your school or community, I hope Monarch becomes a name you can trust.
Thank you for believing in clean, value-based stories that inspire. Thank you for believing in #TeamMonarch. We will do our very best to serve you well.
Blessings,
Dr. Jen Lowry
