Dr. Jennifer Lowry is a Special Education Professor at Campbell University’s School of Education and Human Sciences and a licensed North Carolina educator with credentials in Reading Specialist K-12, English Language Arts 9-12, and Exceptional Children K-12. With 25 years of classroom and school-based experience, she brings both the technical expertise and the human warmth that every testing experience deserves.

North Carolina Homeschool Testing Requirement
North Carolina law requires that homeschool students take a nationally standardized achievement test each year. The Woodcock-Johnson V is an approved and widely accepted option for meeting this requirement, and Monarch Educational Services is listed as an approved vendor on the official NC DNPE standardized testing page. Families receive clear communication about what to expect, how to prepare, and what the results will mean for their child’s educational journey.
The specific subtests and clusters administered are thoughtfully selected based on the referral question, the student’s age and grade level, and any known areas of concern. Whether a student needs a brief annual achievement screening or a comprehensive evaluation addressing reading, cognition, language, and accommodations, the session is designed around that student specifically, not a one-size-fits-all protocol.
