I’m Kara, a recently married twenty-something to a wonderful man with  a young daughter.

I am a lover of words, collector of books new and old, sunset  watcher, dream catcher, old soul, and creator of imaginary worlds. I  have three published books, freelance write, I love hugs, making  friends, and you can’t shut me up when I meet new people. 

And above all of that, I have a passion for helping people see the  beauty in the broken, the light in the darkness, and the hope when all  seems lost. Jesus is King and that gives me hope. 

 Stephanie Cotta hails from beautiful Southern Oregon and graduated from Southern Oregon University with a BA in Fine Art and a minor in European History. Growing up, she spent much of her time delving into every new Star Wars  book she could get her hands on, which all began at age ten when she  bought The Courtship of Princess Leia by Dave Wolverton at a garage sale for a quarter. Her love of Star Wars and Sci-fi/fantasy has been undying ever since. Following  college, she spent several years working as a children’s  book  illustrator, getting her real first taste for the realm of  storytelling, and knew her future lay with writing. She’s received the Silver Honorable Mention from the L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future and took the Gold Prize in the KWA 2020 Quill Award for a YA fantasy/steampunk short story. When she’s not steeped in writing, she’s launching arrows at hay bales, drawing with pastels, reading fantasy, playing an immersive RPG, or watching the latest BBC historical drama.

Rebecca Wenrich Wheeler was raised in West Point, a small town in the  Tidewater region of Virginia. From the moment she submitted her first short story to a young author’s contest in second grade, Rebecca knew  she wanted to be a writer. Her love of writing led her to earn a BA in  English and an MEd in English education. She spent several years as a  high school teacher, where she also developed a passion for mental  health promotion. Rebecca completed an MA in professional counseling,  and now serves as an elementary school counselor and a college adjunct  psychology instructor. Rebecca also teaches yoga for the young and the  young at heart, and she likes to infuse yoga and breath work in her  counseling practice wherever she can. She believes the most valuable use  of her time is to teach youth how to love and care for each other and  the world around them. Her stories share this focus on positive  relationships and a love of nature. Rebecca now lives in Durham, North  Carolina, with her husband, two children, and a spoiled Siamese cat.

With an English teacher as a father and a librarian as a mother, it’s no surprise that Angelique grew up loving to read. Now, she teaches high school English and creative writing in a suburb of Chicago, working to  bring her love of reading and writing to high school students.

She  is blessed to have a supportive husband, daughter, and son, who don’t  mind her binge writing, an extended family who always encourage her  creativity, and a dog who keeps her company late into the night. 

Angelique and her husband Walt love their home in Illinois, but their hearts are forever hiking in Lake Tahoe, California. 

Shelly Mack is an author of children's books from picture books to young adult. From toddler to adult, books have been a permanent part of her day-to-day life. Her children inspired the first picture book she  wrote and she continued to work hard and embrace her dream of writing a  fantasy novel with the help of her faith. Shelly wants to keep books  alive in a world that needs escapism and wishes to bring joy to her  readers through her books. Shelly lives in Scotland with her husband and  two girls. 

Abbie Crank was born and raised in the foothills of Kentucky,  where she lives with her family and one devoted cat. After graduating from Liberty University, she worked at a radio station, bank, and stock transfer company before landing her dream job as a full-time content  writer. When she was twelve, she wrote her very first novel and was hooked on storytelling for life. Abbie loves writing about small towns, first kisses, and imperfect girls finding their voice. On the rare  occasion she's not working on her next novel, she enjoys gaming,  daydreaming about her characters, spending time with friends, and working her way through her ever-expanding TBR pile.

Ever since Lori was in the fourth grade and won a young author’s contest,  she has had a passion for writing. When attending the Young  Author’s Conference, she heard Shel Silverstein’s The Giving Tree read aloud, and  she knew right then that someday she wanted to write meaningful stories, hoping to capture the hearts of children. 

She lives in sunny Southwest Florida with her husband and daughter. She   loves all things nature and you will find many of her experiences in the pages of her stories.

A life-long lover of reading and writing, Sandy has been penning poems and stories for as long as she can remember. She is employed as a Speech-Language Pathologist

within the public school system, heads a creative writing club for pre-teens at her local library and is a certified adult and kids’ yoga instructor. In addition to her upcoming novel in verse, two of Sandy’s poems have been published on The Dirigible Balloon. Sandy lives in Western, NY with her husband, two kids and two cats.

Before turning to writing for children, Carol Baldwin published Friendship Counseling: Biblical Foundations for Helping Others and Teaching the Story: Fiction Writing in Grades 4-8. She has published widely in newspapers and magazines and along with Rebecca Wheeler, co-publishes Talking Story, a newsletter for educators and media specialists. She was a SCBWI-Carolinas critique group leader and blog coordinator for many years. In addition, she manages the Write2Ignite blog; a group dedicated to inspiring and educating Christian Kidlit writers. Most recently, she became a volunteer publicist for Monarch Books.

When she isn’t writing or blogging, you’ll find her golfing, walking, biking, or enjoying spending time with one of her eight grandchildren. She is working on a graphic novel, Nightmare in Nuremberg, and has two picture book biographies on submission.
