Library Love Awards
At Monarch, we love librarians. Like love ... love ... love librarians and library spaces. We know you do, too! That's why we celebrate our special librarians in our lives by honoring them with our Library Love Awards!

Recipients of the 2022 awards will receive a $10.00 Starbucks gift card and a Monarch book (even if it is in an ARC stage, with the book on the way to them as soon as the copies are released).

Library Love Award Recipient for January 2022 - Amy Myers, Media Specialist in NC
Amy Myers has been a teacher librarian in North Carolina for the last 18 years, having worked at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. Currently she is a librarian at Athens Drive High School in Raleigh and is pursuing her doctoral degree in educational leadership with a focus on instructional technology from Appalachian State University. She enjoys reading realistic and historical fiction, but her true reading passion is Victorian literature. That love affair erupted while Amy was working on her master's in English literature from North Carolina State.
Despite having attended four of the UNC System's 16 institutions of higher ed, she is a Tar Heel at heart, representing her undergraduate alma mater.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys traveling and spending time with her family and pups. She is also an advocate for digital citizenship and combatting the misinformation that currently pervades society.
